The 2026 Tour of Shanghai brought together 118 riders from 21 professional cycling teams for three days of high-speed racing across one of China’s biggest cities.

Among the international peloton, Factor Racing stood out in its distinctive black-and-white race kit, taking on the demanding roads of Shanghai alongside some of Asia and Europe’s strongest teams.

Led by Directeur Sportif Jan Kušar, the Factor Racing Continental Team brought a highly motivated, youthful squad to Shanghai, featuring Adam Bradáč, Li Ting Wei, Maj Flajs, Nash Lim, and Nejc Komac.

With the route favoring pure powerhouse sprinters and opportunistic attackers, the team was highly visible from day one. During the blistering opening stage, Maj Flajs showed incredible grit, crossing the line just 1 minute and 28 seconds back from a hyper-elite lead group in a race that average speeds frequently cracked wide open.

Throughout the weekend, the squad was actively fighting for positioning and hunting down moves, proving that they aren't afraid to animate the front of the peloton against deeply experienced UCI fields.

What made the 2026 edition truly historic wasn't just the pro peloton. For the first time, organizers opened up the exact 100km final-stage route to elite amateur teams, allowing everyday racers to test their legs on the exact tarmac as the pros. Coupled with an expanded virtual e-sports cycling companion league, the Tour of Shanghai successfully bridged the gap between professional racing and the local cycling community.

Factor Racing continues to prove they are a team on the rise, perfectly matching the forward-thinking, high-tech energy of Shanghai itself. We can't wait to see where the team takes this momentum next!
