Filipino rider Mervin Corpuz delivered an aggressive performance for 7Eleven Cliqq Roadbike Philippines during Stage 3 of Le Tour de Langkawi 2026, collecting points across the intermediate sprints and King of the Mountain battle.

Stage 3 took the peloton on a 189.7-kilometer journey from Sungai Petani to Kuala Kangsar, with three intermediate sprint zones at Kuala Ketil, Lawin and Sauk, plus a Category 2 King of the Mountain challenge at Gerik.

Corpuz joined the day's breakaway and made his presence felt throughout the stage.

Sprint 1 – Kuala Ketil

The action started early at the first intermediate sprint in Kuala Ketil.

Corpuz's second-place finish immediately put him among the riders fighting for valuable sprint points.

After twice finishing second in the earlier intermediate sprints, Corpuz finally claimed maximum sprint points at Sauk.

A Strong International Showing for Mervin Corpuz

From Kuala Ketil to Gerik, Lawin and finally Sauk, Mervin Corpuz was consistently involved at the front of Stage 3.

His day included second place at Sprint 1, third at the Gerik KOM, second at Sprint 2 and victory at Sprint 3 — an impressive display of aggression and consistency from the Filipino rider on one of Asia's biggest professional cycling stages.

Corpuz was part of the six-rider early breakaway alongside Aiman Zariff, Imam Arifin, Danish Afdzal, Jian Le Chan and Yusri Shaari. As the peloton gradually reduced the gap, Corpuz and Arifin continued fighting at the front into thefinal portion of the stage.

For 7Eleven Cliqq Roadbike Philippines, Corpuz's performance provided a strong Filipino presence throughout Stage 3 of Le Tour de Langkawi 2026.
