CCN Factory Racing Takes 7th on Day One of Wulong Mountain Quest 2026

CCN Sport + Merrell NZ opened the 2026 Wulong Mountain Quest in Chongqing, China, with a strong seventh-place performance on Day One.

Racing in partnership with Merrell New Zealand, the team tackled a demanding multi-discipline course combining running, mountain biking, a carry section and a zipline.

A Tough Opening Day in Chongqing

Day One tested the team across several disciplines and terrain changes. The course featured:

2 km run → 600 m carry → 11 km run → 17 km MTB → 11 km run → zipline → 4 km run

With repeated transitions between running and mountain biking, the opening stage demanded endurance, technical ability and efficient teamwork from start to finish.

CCN Sport + Merrell NZ Finishes 7th Overall

After completing the full Day One course, CCN Factory Racing finished 7th overall, ending the stage approximately 15 minutes behind the race leaders.

The result keeps the team within the competitive field as the Wulong Mountain Quest continues, with more racing still to come in Chongqing.

Taking on the Wulong Mountain Quest

The Wulong Mountain Quest brings adventure racing disciplines together in a challenging outdoor format, requiring athletes to adapt quickly as the course moves between running, mountain biking and other technical challenges.

For CCN Sport + Merrell NZ, the event provides another opportunity to represent CCN Sport in international competition alongside Merrell New Zealand.

With Day One complete, attention now turns to the remaining stages as the team looks to build on its seventh-place start.
