ISTANBUL TAKES ON THE TOUR SAMSUN 2026

The Tour of Samsun 2026 brought together the speed of road racing, the energy of the peloton, and the determination of Team Istanbul. 

From the opening kilometers to the final push toward the finish, the race demanded speed, strategy, teamwork, and endurance. Every stage offered another chance for the team to test itself against a competitive field and proudly represent its colors.

The roads of Samsun created the perfect setting for an intense week of racing. Fast-paced sections, changing conditions, and demanding kilometers meant that every decision and every effort mattered.

But behind every race result are moments that don't always appear on the standings, teammates working together, riders fighting for position in the peloton, staff supporting the team, and the determination to keep pushing when the race gets tough.

One of the strongest performances of the race came from Mewael Girmay, who delivered an excellent third-place finish on Stage 2 before completing the Tour of Samsun in third place overall.

Fighting for a podium position across a multi-stage race requires consistency, resilience, and the ability to perform when the pressure is highest. Mewael remained competitive throughout the tour and finished only one second behind second place in the final general classification.

His podium finish was not only an impressive individual achievement, it also reflected the collective work of the entire Istanbul Team throughout the race.
