The 2026 Mountain Bike World Championships in Val di Sole, Italy, have come to an end after a demanding week of high-level cross-country racing. For Sweden’s XC team, the championships brought challenging races, valuable experience and several strong individual performances.

The final XCO races produced 21st place for Leo Lounela and 25th for Nils Johansson in the U23 men's race, while Jenny Rissveds finished seventh in the elite women's competition.

Rissveds result came after a crucial rear-wheel puncture affected her race and cost her valuable time in the fight for a higher position.

Despite the results falling short of the team's ambitions, Eriksson praised the riders for their commitment throughout the Mountain Bike World Championships.

Although the Mountain Bike World Championships are now over, the season continues for several members of the Swedish team.

Some riders will remain focused on the upcoming World Cup races, providing another opportunity to build on their performances in Val di Sole and finish the season strongly.

At CCN Sport, we are proud to support athletes competing at the highest level of mountain biking. Seeing riders perform on the national stage reflects our commitment to producing high-performance cycling apparel designed to help athletes perform with confidence in every race and every discipline.
