KINAN Racing Team Shines in Minamiuonuma

KINAN Racing Team delivered a strong team performance at the 2026 Minamiuonuma Road Race, with Keigo Kusaba finishing 4th and Genki Yamamoto taking 5th.

The 11th Minamiuonuma Road Race, held on September 19 in Niigata Prefecture, saw KINAN Racing Team race aggressively throughout the 144 km event on the Mikuni River Dam circuit.

Kusaba and Yamamoto Finish Back-to-Back

KINAN placed two riders inside the top five, with Keigo Kusaba crossing the line in 4th place and teammate Genki Yamamoto following in 5th. Kusaba finished 2:32 behind race winner Luke Burns, with Yamamoto one second further back.

Yudai Arashiro also finished just outside the top 10 in 11th, giving KINAN three riders among the first 11 finishers.

The results came after an aggressive team performance, with KINAN working collectively and remaining involved in the fight at the front of the race.

Second in the Team Classification

Alongside the individual top-five finishes, KINAN Racing Team secured 2nd place in the team classification, adding another strong result to its weekend in Minamiuonuma.

For Kusaba, the fourth-place finish also continued a strong 2026 domestic campaign that has included J ProTour victories at the Kanoya-Kimotsuki Road Race and West Japan Road Classic.

Yamamoto, meanwhile, added another top result to his season with fifth in Minamiuonuma.

A Strong Team Performance in Minamiuonuma

Two riders in the top five and second in the team classification made the Minamiuonuma Road Race 2026 another notable outing for KINAN Racing Team.

From the early kilometers through the decisive stages of the race, the team raced proactively and challenged for both individual and team honors — an approach that reflects KINAN's collective racing style.
