Hugo Forssell and Caroline Andreasson Crowned SWE Cup Champions

The 2025 SWE Cup road season came to a thrilling conclusion with remarkable victories in both the men’s and women’s A classes. The final races delivered not only high-speed action but also stories of dominance, consistency, and breakthrough performances.
Men’s A: Forssell’s Sixth Straight Title 🟡
Hugo Forssell of CK Hymer etched his name into the history books, securing his sixth consecutive SWE Cup victory. This season alone, Forssell has also claimed SM gold in both short distance and line races, cementing his status as one of Sweden’s top road cyclists.
His teammate, Joel Rydergren—the bandy player turned elite cyclist in 2022—entered the Svanesund 3-day race in the lead but was eventually overtaken by Forssell, who powered through to secure overall victory.
Women’s A: Andreasson’s Breakthrough Season 🟡
In the women’s A category, Caroline Andreasson (CK Master) claimed the overall title after a consistent and impressive campaign. Earlier this year, she placed sixth at the national road championships against international-level competition. Even more remarkable: this was her debut season racing the SWE Cup.
Rising Talent in B and C Classes 🟢🚀
The younger categories were just as exciting, showcasing the next generation of Swedish cycling talent:
-
Men’s B: Gothenburg rider Elias Wändel (Mölndals CK) capped off a strong year with the overall victory.
-
Women’s B: Consistency proved key for Hanna Ekdahl (CK Falken), who outperformed a field that also featured MTB specialists making guest appearances.
-
Men’s C: Oliver Emanuelsson (CK Wänershof) showed his strength throughout the season, also earning qualification for the European Youth Olympics.
