Sweden will line up with six women and five men at the 2026 Cyclocross European Championships in Zeddam, Netherlands, on November 7–8. The squad features riders in the junior and under-23 categories, forming an unusually large Swedish team for the championships.

Several riders have already started their cyclocross seasons with strong results in Sweden and Denmark. In Zeddam, they will face deeper international fields and a course expected to test both fitness and bike-handling skills, including running strength on a long staircase.

A Young Team Ready for International Competition

Swedish national coach David Eriksson said the team is heading to Zeddam with a focus on development and gaining experience in international fields. He noted that several riders have performed well during the early part of the season in Nordic races and said he is looking forward to seeing how they compete on the European stage.

The course will offer a new challenge for the Swedish squad, with technical riding and a long staircase expected to demand strength both on and off the bike. The championships will give the junior and U23 riders a valuable opportunity to test themselves against competitors from across Europe.

Good luck to the Swedish team in Zeddam!
