CCN Factory Racing × Merrell NZ Takes 3rd at Wulong Mountain Quest

CCN Factory Racing × Merrell NZ completed four demanding days at the 2026 Wulong Mountain Quest in Chongqing, China, securing 3rd overall after more than 21 hours of adventure racing.

After progressing from 7th on the opening day to increasingly stronger performances throughout the event, the team finished its Wulong campaign on the overall podium.

One Final Challenge in Wulong

Day 4 brought another demanding combination of disciplines:

Run → Canyoning → Kayak → Caving/Run → Kayak → Run → Victory Wall

After three days of racing already in the legs, the final stage demanded one last effort across running, water and technical terrain before reaching Wulong's Victory Wall.

21 Hours of Racing, 3rd Overall 🥉

After more than 21 hours of racing across four days, CCN Factory Racing × Merrell NZ completed the Wulong Mountain Quest in 3rd place overall.

The team's progression throughout the competition told its own story:

Day 1 — 7th
Day 2 — 4th
Day 3 — 3rd
Final — 3rd Overall 🥉

Running, mountain biking, kayaking, rafting, abseiling, navigation, canyoning and caving were all part of a competition that continually tested the team's endurance and ability to work together.

“Could Have Had It.”

The team's four-word summary after the final day — “Could have had it.” — reflected just how competitive their Wulong campaign had become.

After starting the event in seventh, CCN Factory Racing × Merrell NZ steadily moved closer to the front and ultimately left Chongqing with a place on the final podium.

The result closes a demanding four days of racing and another strong international appearance for CCN Sport and Merrell New Zealand.
