Mentorise Teem CCN Wraps Up Tour de Serbie with Team Classification Victory!

What a weekend of racing it has been for the team at the Tour de Serbie 2025 — closing the season on an absolute high note!

Stage 1A: Strong Start! 

The race kicked off with an impressive team performance as our riders powered to a great first result, placing three riders in the Top 10 and claiming the Best Team ranking early on. It was a statement of intent right from the opening stage — solid teamwork, sharp form, and great legs all around.

Stage 2: Breakaway Brilliance 

It was a breakaway day for Catalin Buta_, who spent over 100 km at the front of the race, showcasing his strength and determination. He won two intermediate sprints and fought hard to stay away, but the peloton reeled him back in with just 15 km to go.
Despite missing out on the fairytale finish, it was a courageous and inspiring ride that truly represented the team’s fighting spirit.

Back in the bunch, the team worked together to control the peloton and set up the lead-out, but the chaotic finale disrupted plans for a sprint result. Still, by the end of the day, Mattew Piciu and Horea Precum sat 6th and 10th overall, with the team leading the Teams Classification heading into the final stage.

Final Stage: Podium and Glory 

The last stage in Kruševac saw another standout ride from Mattew Piciu, who not only joined the day’s breakaway but also sprinted to a brilliant 3rd place finish!

That result capped off a superb all-round performance, with Mattew Piciu finishing 4th and Horea Precum 9th overall in the General Classification, while Iustin Vaidian and Catalin Buta_ narrowly missed the Top 10, finishing 11th and 13th, respectively.

And the icing on the cake — thanks to the team’s consistency and hard work across all stages, Go For Gold secured its first-ever Teams Classification victory! 🎉

A historic moment and a perfect way to close the season — a season full of grit, teamwork, and unforgettable performances. Massive congratulations to the entire squad for their dedication and spirit throughout the year.
