Amanda Bohlin Shines with 11th Place Finish in Grueling XCM World Cup

The XCM World Cup in the Swiss Alps 🇨🇭 set the stage for one of the toughest challenges of the season—125 kilometers, 5,000 meters of elevation, and a brutal climb to 3,000 meters above sea level. Among the elite field of riders, Sweden’s Amanda Bohlin delivered a remarkable performance, finishing 11th in what was a record-tough marathon race.
Fresh off her second victory at Cykelvasan, Amanda once again proved her resilience and race strategy. Over seven and a half hours of racing, she climbed steadily through the leaderboard, gaining twelve positions between hours three and six.
Amanda on Her Performance
💬 “I’m satisfied with the day and how I executed the race. I stuck to my plan and was able to climb through the field. I was in eighth place with only 30 to 60 seconds up to ninth, tenth, and eleventh. But when we approached the highest point at 3,000 meters and hit a 20-minute walk because of the incline, I lost those spots. I was very tired but tried to ride smart in the final kilometers down to the finish.”
Despite slipping a few positions near the top of the course, Amanda maintained strong form all the way to the finish line.
💬 “I had a good day, raced wisely, and gave what I had. I had energy all the way until the last hour, which I definitely see as a win.”
