Imam Arifin Battles at the Front of Le Tour de Langkawi 2026 🇮🇩

Indonesian rider Imam Arifin delivered an aggressive performance for Nusantara Cycling Team during Stage 3 of Le Tour de Langkawi 2026, spending much of the day in the breakaway and collecting results across both the intermediate sprints and King of the Mountain battle.

Stage 3 covered 189.7 kilometers from Sungai Petani to Kuala Kangsar, featuring intermediate sprints at Kuala Ketil, Lawin and Sauk, alongside a Category 2 King of the Mountain challenge at Gerik.

Arifin joined the six-rider early breakaway and remained a major presence at the front as the race progressed.

Part of the Stage 3 Breakaway

The early move brought together Imam Arifin, Mervin Corpuz, Aiman Zariff, Danish Afdzal, Jian Le Chan and Yusri Shaari.

Representing Nusantara Cycling Team, Arifin stayed active as the breakaway contested the day's intermediate competitions and worked to maintain its advantage over the peloton.

KOM 1 – Gerik

Arifin produced one of his strongest results of the stage on the Category 2 climb at Gerik.

Taking second at the Gerik KOM gave Arifin valuable mountain points and demonstrated his ability to remain competitive when the road turned upward.

Sprint 2 – Lawin

At the second intermediate sprint in Lawin, Arifin was again among the riders contesting the points.

His third-place finish added another result to an already active day at the front.

Sprint 3 – Sauk

Arifin continued his effort all the way to the final intermediate sprint at Sauk, moving up to second place.

With the peloton closing in, Arifin and Corpuz remained at the front into the later portion of the stage.

A Strong Day for Imam Arifin and Nusantara Cycling Team

From the early breakaway to the Category 2 climb and intermediate sprints, Imam Arifin was consistently involved at the front of Stage 3.

His day included second at the Gerik KOM, third at Sprint 2 in Lawin and second at Sprint 3 in Sauk, while spending significant kilometers representing Nusantara Cycling Team in the breakaway.

On a UCI ProSeries stage featuring WorldTour, ProTeam and Continental opposition, Arifin's aggressive racing ensured a visible presence for Nusantara Cycling Team and Indonesian cycling throughout the day.

With more stages still to come at the 30th edition of Le Tour de Langkawi, the team continues its campaign on one of Asia's biggest professional cycling stages.
