CCN Factory Racing × Merrell NZ Takes 3rd at day 3 of the Wulong Mountain Quest

CCN Factory Racing × Merrell NZ continued its strong run at the 2026 Wulong Mountain Quest in Chongqing, China, securing 3rd overall after another demanding day of adventure racing.

Following earlier finishes of 7th and 4th, the team stepped onto the podium with its strongest result of the event so far.

A Multi-Discipline Challenge in Chongqing

The latest stage brought another completely different combination of disciplines, testing the team's endurance, technical ability, navigation and teamwork.

The course included:

Abseil → Kayak → MTB → Run/Bike Alternate → Navigation → Chair Carry

With constant transitions between disciplines, the team had to adapt quickly while maintaining its pace throughout the course.

CCN Factory Racing Breaks Into the Top Three

After finishing 7th earlier in the event and then improving to 4th, CCN Factory Racing continued its progression by securing 3rd.

The result marks the team's first podium of the 2026 Wulong Mountain Quest and reflects a consistent improvement across the competition.

Teamwork Across Every Discipline

Adventure racing requires much more than individual speed. From navigating the course and handling the mountain bike sections to kayaking and completing the chair carry, each challenge demanded coordination across the team.

The third-place result adds another strong international performance for CCN Factory Racing and Merrell New Zealand in Chongqing.

With the team now on the podium, the Wulong Mountain Quest continues to showcase the versatility and endurance required to compete across some of adventure racing's most demanding disciplines.
